Mason & Hamlin AA 6' 4"
Rebuilt 1907 Mason & Hamlin satin ebony

This is a stunningly beautiful looking, playing, and sounding instrument manufactured in 1907. This piano has a new sounding board as well as the usual replacement of everything with wear with exception of the key tops which are the original ivory. The action was replaced with the Abel "Select" hammers from Germany the characteristics of which would be expected of a concert sound; big, round, and percussive. The subtle elegance of the turned and fluted legs along with the carving on the case carry through to the matching bench. Mason and Hamlin lovers understand the depth of sound that comes from these early, original instruments. It is 6 foot 4 inches and sounds like a semi concert.
